I am delighted to welcome you to Stubbin Wood School. We are passionate about facilitating the best outcomes for each child who comes to the school in preparation for their life after Stubbin Wood.
All pupils at the school are offered a broad, balanced, stimulating and relevant curriculum regardless of their background, culture or ability. Each pupil is valued for who they are and what they bring to the school. We appreciate and celebrate the richness of diversity within the school community as well as the wider community. Through the work we do across the school on developing the core values, we actively promote the importance of tolerance, co-operation, courage, determination, friendship and respect. Through this approach, pupils develop independence, confidence and integrity which prepares them for their future lives.
We aim every day, to promote the development of a culture of engagement, challenge and curiosity, within a curriculum in which learning, independence, effective communication and the subsequent application of knowledge and skills learnt, is prioritised.
Working with parents and carers is vital to ensure a child’s success. As a team we work hard to ensure positive working relationships are forged and maintained.
We welcome discussions at any point throughout children's journeys and Senior Leaders are available at the beginning and end of the day should you wish to discuss anything. Alternatively you can always make an appointment to come into school at a different time. I hope you find our website useful as an introduction to the amazing work taking place at Stubbin Wood School each and every day.
