Coronavirus: Help

The advice for everyone is simple "stay home, stay safe, protect the NHS".  The impact of the current global pandemic has an impact on every single one of us in different ways.

Clear guidance has been provided by the NHS to help parents to decide if they need to ask for help and, if so, who they should call.

We are sharing the following information and hope that it is of help.  Please click on the images to access the images in full/websites.

The Mental Health Foundation have provided a useful guide to help you to look after your mental health during the Coronavirus pandemic.

They have also produced a helpful guide on how to share the scary news of Coronavirus with your child.

The guidance focuses on managing your mental health, working from home and keeping well whilst in self-isolation.

The Autism Educator has provided a helpful little story book that you can share with your child to aid their understanding of the Coronavirus, to reduce anxiety and to prepare them for a positive return to school.
Bolsover District Council have put together a list of really useful contacts to help residents through the difficult times ahead.  The information includes a wide range of contacts from Food Banks to learning resources.

Having a 'Growth Mindset' means that you make a conscious decision to have a positive outlook on things. Instead of worrying about the bad things in life, you focus on how you can improve them.
Research has linked the growth mindset with tonnes of benefits, including:

  • being comfortable with taking personal risks
  • Having higher aspirations in life
  • Enhanced brain development
  • Lower levels of stress and anxiety

The whole world is currently going through a very difficult and stressful time. Throughout this pandemic we can use our Growth Mindset way of thinking to help us through.
