Independent Living & Supported Employment

When the time comes to prepare for leaving full time education, the time might also be right to start preparing for independent living and supported employment.

There are some really helpful websites to help you to make plans and prepare for a successful transition to independence.  Or, it is sometimes really useful to take time to think about what you will need to take your next steps - whenever that may be!

Base UK

BASE is the British Association for Supported Employment.  Their website contains a list of members who deliver supported employment services along with loads of useful information to help your child to find work.  Click here for a list of frequently asked questions on their website.
