Admissions

Admissions

Admissions to school can take place at any time during the course of the year. They are dealt with by the Local Authority:

Special Needs Section
Derbyshire County Council
County Hall
Matlock
DE4 3AG
Telephone: 01629 580000

Prospective parents and carers are very welcome to visit school at any time during the course of the year. You may wish to come with your child or alternatively to visit first on your own and then return with your child for a second visit. Please contact the school via e-mail or phone the school to join one of our monthly tours in the future, to look around school and gain an understanding of our environment and approachWe feel that it's really important for parents to take a look around the school before making any decisions about their child's next steps in Education.

For some parents and carers, we appreciate the decision to consider the possibility of a special school is a difficult one. The principal, Emma Rodgers, will be pleased to discuss with you the individual needs of your child and any concerns that you may have.

It should be noted that admission most year groups is very tight, given our current number of young people in the school.

The School Admissions Code is reviewed annually and is available to view in our Policies & Statements section on the Admissions page.  Please click here to take you to the Code.
