      The Inclusive Youth Leadership Conference at Shirebrook Leisure Centre was a day dedicated to empowering young leaders to make PE, sport, and physical activity (PESSPA) more inclusive. A diverse group of KS3 and KS4 students, including those with additional support needs, took part in a series of engaging and interactive workshops aimed at developing their leadership skills and confidence.

    • NSPCC Number Day

      Every year, we celebrate NSPCC Number Day throughout the Trust. During the event, students participate in a variety of math-themed activities and challenges designed to make learning both fun and engaging. From maths quizzes to problem-solving games, the day is packed with opportunities for students to explore numbers in creative ways. Not only does this event support a worthy cause, but it also encourages teamwork and critical thinking, skills that are valuable in every aspect of life.

    • Young Sports Leaders

      A group of students, from Stubbin Wood, have had the chance to develop sports leadership skills and prepare to become Young Leaders. They studied how to run lunchtime clubs and have even been given the opportunity to participate in additional training alongside other students.

      The students thoroughly enjoyed the day, and it was wonderful to witness them socializing with peers from different schools. Our students represented Stubbin Wood exceptionally well by sharing innovative ideas and adapting sports for a diverse range of abilities.

      We eagerly anticipate seeing how much we can achieve within the school and during lunchtime, allowing the children to apply their skills and become inspiring sports role models!
