Music at Stubbin Wood
The aim of our music curriculum:
- enable our pupils to express themselves creatively enhancing their communication skills
- experience a range of music across different genres, styles and traditions
- learn skills & techniques in using their voices, creating and composing music
- explore how music is created through its interrelated dimensions such as pitch, tempo, duration
- learn about great musicians and composers
- have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument
- have the opportunity to perform to an audience
We currently work with Open Orchestra enabling accessible music-making opportunities for our students. More pupils are learning an instrument, playing with others and performing live because of this wonderful collaboration.
